The brief

A successful tender for Teeside University’s Northshore Innovation Centre. The client required a name, logo, brand, signage and website to launch the new facility and achieve 50% occupancy for the opening date.

The ‘Fusion Hive’ name was proposed as a concept that would capture the interest of the target demographic of digital and tech businesses and excite them with a collaborative and supportive working environment. The brand represents layers and components working together, a cross section of a ‘hive’, it’s exciting, busy and sympathetic to the University’s brand colours, a constraint set out in the brief.

The brand was taken on to large scale signage and internal wall graphics throughout the building. Together with a website to promote the facilities and allow prospective tenants to register their interest, Fusion Hive surpassed their initial target of 50% occupancy for opening and were delighted with the success of the project as a whole.
